Land Park and East Sacramento. Land Park's first residential area, the College Tract, broke ground in 1927, and most of the neighborhood's Period Revival homes went up in the 1930s. The same developers built East Sacramento's "Fab 40s." Closets in homes of that age are often small with narrow openings, so style matters: a door that respects a Tudor Revival interior looks very different from one chosen for a 2000s tract home.
South and North Natomas. South Natomas holds more established, mid-century neighborhoods, while North Natomas is largely newer, uniform tracts. Many of those newer homes came with standard sliding or bifold doors, which are prime candidates for an upgrade to mirrored, frosted glass or panel styles.
Homes with a closet project underway. Doors are often added to a custom closet so the inside and outside are finished together, though they can also be ordered on their own.
