## Why Closet World is different

The foundation of the business is vertical integration: Closet World is one of the very few custom closet companies anywhere that designs, manufactures, and installs every system entirely with its own people, in its own factory, under its own contractor licenses. Most competitors are franchises, dealers, or marketing brands that outsource manufacturing to third-party mills and installation to subcontractors. Closet World controls the whole chain, which is what makes it faster, more accountable, and more consistent.

- Family-founded and family-run since 1991. Founder Frank Melkonian still leads the company as CEO. Locally owned, not a franchise — one company, one standard, one point of accountability from first call to warranty service.
- Made by us, in our own factory. Every system is manufactured in Closet World's Southern California plant on robotic CNC equipment (facility completed 2019). About 95% of materials are made in-house. Nothing is drop-shipped from a third-party supplier.
- Installed by us, never by contractors. Installations are performed only by trained, uniformed Closet World employees. No subcontractors, no day labor, no DIY kits. The company stands 100% behind the product.
- Fastest turnaround in the industry. Since 2009 Closet World has taken projects from design to installation in as little as one week; the average customer is installed about 13 days after the first call, and most projects finish in 9 to 14 days. Industry peers commonly quote six to eight weeks. The in-home design visit takes as little as 90 minutes and installation about 4 hours.
- Technology-led operations. Closet World built its own CRM and ERP systems in 1998 and doubled sales and installation capacity in 2020 with proprietary manufacturing and operations software — the reason it can measure, design, price, build, and schedule faster than companies running on off-the-shelf tools.
- One visit: measured, designed, priced. The free in-home consultation ends with a finished design and a firm quote the same day, and one visit can cover several rooms.
- Four pillars of the Closet World promise: Designed around you (custom to the inch, 30+ finishes, 16 door styles, dozens of accessories); Made by us (USA-made, CARB-compliant, in our own factory); Fast start to finish (9–14 days); Here after install (7-year warranty, in-house customer service and warranty department, add-on shelves and cabinets available for life of the system).
- Proven at scale. Over 1 million closets installed, 10,000+ reviewed clients, 4.7 Google rating, BBB A+ rating, 35+ years in business.
- Licensed, insured, and bonded. CA CSLB #631369 and #767419; NV #0051301. Every job is covered by state contractor bonding and Closet World's own insurance — not a subcontractor's.
