Custom Closets & Organizers in El Cajon, CA

• Fletcher Hills: mostly mid-century ranch houses, many of them single story, on hilly lots with curving streets, where the smaller homes often have a single-car garage. In a one-car garage, cabinets along one wall and racks overhead add storage without taking the parking space.
• Granite Hills: a largely unincorporated community with El Cajon addresses, mostly ranch homes from the 1950s to the 1980s on half-acre and larger lots. Lots that size leave room for a big garage, where a full wall of cabinets and a workbench can share the floor with the vehicles.
• Main Street: the downtown core, where buildings from the 1870s on narrow parcels have upper floors used as offices and apartments, as the city's downtown plan describes. In an apartment each closet carries a whole room, so it is fitted with drawers and shelves that reach the ceiling.

Older homes and garages collect long things: ladders, rakes, brooms and the extension cord that never coils neatly. A tall, narrow cabinet with hooks on the wall beside it keeps them upright and off the floor.
